Tickets can be booked through the following methods:
- Online: Visit our booking portal — available 24/7 with the best promotional prices.
- In Person: At any Rider Express office or authorized agent location.
We recommend booking online for the best prices and instant confirmation.
We currently offer a bulk ticket discount for frequent travelers through our voucher program. You can purchase discounted multi-ride vouchers from our voucher page.
At this time, we do not have specific senior or student fares. However, our dynamically adjusted pricing and promotional rates ensure competitive prices for all passengers.
After completing your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket details, booking ID, departure/arrival information, and a QR code. Please check your spam/junk folder if you don't see it within a few minutes. You can show the ticket on your phone at boarding — printed tickets are not required.
No. Printed tickets are not required. You can simply display your ticket on your phone, or have your ticket/booking ID ready along with a government-issued photo ID at check-in.
Each passenger is entitled to:
- 1 Personal Item (free) — up to 3 kg, max 17"×15"×8". Must fit under the seat or in the overhead bin.
- 2 Stowed Luggage (free) — up to 23 kg each, max 30"×19"×12".
- 3rd Luggage: $30 extra
- 4th Luggage: $40 extra

Yes! We offer freight and parcel delivery services across our entire network. Parcels up to 23 kg can be sent affordably. Please book parcels through our freight portal at riderexpress.ca/freight or visit our parcel booking page.
Yes! Sports equipment is welcome with the following fees:
- Bikes: $60 ($50 if booked online). Must be properly wrapped/boxed — no exposed grease or sharp parts.
- Skis & Snowboards: $40 ($30 if booked online). Must be in an appropriate bag.
You can add these extras during the online booking process. See bike packaging sample photos for reference.
The maximum baggage liability is $100 per person/ticket (including bikes). Rider Express is not liable for unchecked baggage, items not complying with our policies, or items left behind on the coach. For full details, please see our Policy page.
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to contact@riderexpress.ca at least 24 hours before departure.
- Approved cancellations receive a 50% refund of the ticket value.
- Cancellations within 24 hours of departure are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.
- Extra items (bike, ski, luggage fees) are non-refundable.

You can modify the date and time of your ticket online through your booking account. A processing fee applies:
- Tickets totaling above $70: $30 processing fee
- Tickets totaling below $70: $20 processing fee
Changes must be requested at least 24 hours before departure. Once a ticket has been rescheduled, it cannot be rescheduled again or refunded.
Similar to the airline industry, all tickets are valid only for the specific date and time purchased. You must be at your stop at least 15 minutes before departure. If you miss your bus, your ticket becomes void and cannot be used for another time. A new ticket must be purchased.
Last-minute cancellation requests (within 24 hours) cannot be considered for refund or rescheduling.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. This allows our staff to check you in, verify your ID, and load your luggage safely and efficiently. Late arrivals may be marked as no-shows.
- 18+ years: One (1) piece of government-issued photo ID, OR two (2) pieces of non-photo government-issued ID.
- Under 18: Birth certificate, health card, or other government-issued ID.
- Copies/photos of photo IDs are accepted. Copies of non-photo IDs are not.
Many of our newer-model buses are equipped with WiFi. Availability varies by route and specific bus. We continuously upgrade our fleet, and amenities like WiFi are being expanded across the network.
Yes, under the following conditions:
- Children under 2 years of age travel free — one per ticketed adult/minor (16+). Must not occupy a seat.
- Children under 2 occupying a seat or using a car seat receive a 50% discount.
- Children age 2 and above pay the same fare as adults.
Children age 13 and above may travel unaccompanied. Children under 13 must be accompanied by someone at least 16 years of age or older. We highly recommend parent/guardian assistance during boarding and disembarking for all unaccompanied minors.
Only qualified service dogs (as defined under the Service Dogs Act) with proper ID are permitted — and only with pre-approval at least 48 hours before travel. Therapy pets and emotional support animals are not allowed. Please email contact@riderexpress.ca for approval. Terms and conditions apply.

Our buses can accommodate standard and electric wheelchairs up to 42″ L × 36″ W, with a maximum weight of 660 lbs (300 kg). We allow 2 wheelchair spaces per trip. At least 7 days' advance notice is required. Please send your request to contact@riderexpress.ca.
